A home thatbecame a gallery
The paintings were not chosen to match the furniture. They accumulated, the way work does in the house of the person making it, until there was no clear wall left and they began climbing towards the ceiling.
What follows is simply what is on the walls and in the cabinets. Where a title, size and medium have been recorded, they appear beneath the work. Where they have not, the painting is shown without a caption rather than with one written for it.

The paintings
Most are oils, worked thickly enough that the surface catches the light and changes through the day. Some are abstract, some turn figurative, and they hang close together in the manner of a salon rather than spaced along a wall.

Nella dimensione dell'essere tutto converge nell'eternità, nella dimensione dell'avere tutto converge nella corruzioneThe installations
Alongside the paintings are a number of assembled pieces. Each carries a title the artist gave it, and is listed here under that title.

Living with it
None of it is roped off. Cook, spread a map on the green table, put your glass down — carefully — and let the walls do what they do. The best hour is late afternoon, when the light comes through the shutters at an angle and the thick paint starts throwing its own shadows.
